In addition, many continental, national and bioregional rendezvous are held throughout the world each year. These gatherings are particularly important for developing a cohesive activist network and for planning actions on a local level. News about rendezvous are announced in the Earth First! Journal.
EF! activists in North America also get together during the winter to address issues concerning the future of the movement. These Activist Conferences are held as campouts or in lodges (depending on the climate of the site), and besides providing another excuse to bring the tribe together, they allow EF!ers to converge on a national level to strategize and organize upcoming campaigns, actions and events. So make plans to attend the rendezvous every year!
